Paul got me a sweet new Ashford Katie 8 shaft table loom for christmas and it's SO AMAZING!! Not only does it have 8 shafts jack loom style, but it folds up and is portable and easy to store. I've been dyeing to do a pinwheel weave for years now, and was basically the reason why I started weaving in the first place. My big loom is only 4 shaft and counterbalance, so not able to do the pinwheel weave. But this little loom is so easy to use. Warping takes a bit of time as per usual with weaving, but is nothing more than your normal process so easy to grasp.
Other than that, we've been so busy with our move, the holidays, my cat's surgery, etc etc, that I really haven't had much time to do much else. I cut the bindings on my quilt to size and mitered them, but haven't sewn them to completion yet. I'm in the middle of a GIANT skein of laceweight yarn that'll clock over 500 yards plied, and that's about it. I got some new goggles for snowboarding and a new jacket and have been going once a week to the "mountain" that's right around the corner from our new place.
